Brandi Vezina is making waves with her bold storytelling and unapologetic grit.

This spring, she hits the road for her Highways & Wildflowers Tour, an intimate run of shows from Rainy River, Selkirk, Winnipeg, Brandon and Dauphin filled with storytelling, good vibes and laughter.

Her latest single Lighthouse, was written and recorded during the Amazon Indigenous Song Camp at Kilometer Music alongside producer-artists Con the Artist and Ramona Vee. Lighthouse released March 20 and signals the start of a new chapter with Vezina leaning into a more alternative-influenced sound while keeping the raw honesty that defines her songwriting.

Vezina’s 2025 Grit & Glamour EP is a powerful collection of songs rooted in identity, resilience, and rebellion. Brandi Vezina and Scott Nolan were honoured with the Manitoba Country Music Association’s Fay Walker Song (Songwriters) Award for Paper Town. Vezina took the Grit & Glamour Tour throughout the boreal forest and prairies, sharing stories that reflect the land and spirit of where she’s from.

At the heart of Grit & Glamour is Paper Town, a song that speaks to the fragility of industry and community. Inspired by true events, Paper Town tells the story of a once-thriving mill town that lost its lifeblood when the industry collapsed. Co-written and performed with Winnipeg’s Scott Nolan, the song resonates deeply with listeners.

“It’s about more than just a job it’s about identity, purpose, and the generations of families who built their lives around something that was suddenly gone,” says Vezina.

She has earned national recognition through Amazon Music’s Indigenous Song Camp, SOCAN Foundation, Kilometer Music Group, and sākihiwē festival, and continues to grow her artistry as part of the OHSOTO’KINO Music Incubator Program with the National Music Centre and the TD Creative Entrepreneur Incubator.

Her festival performances include Dauphin’s Countryfest, APTN Indigenous Day Live, Festival du Voyageur, the Winnipeg International Jazz Festival, and most recently the 2025 Burt Block Party.

Brandi’s career has continued to evolve with national showcases and the Vince Fontaine Legacy Award. Her singles Next Time I Love, Tornado in a Trailer Park, Old Fashioned Values, and Gasoline have landed on SiriusXM Canada’s Indigiverse and Top of the Country.

Now entering a new creative era, Vezina is expanding beyond country roots and embracing a darker, alternative edge bringing her fierce storytelling and prairie-born perspective into new territory.

Brandi Vezina is an artist you won’t want to miss.
