The EP showcases Brandi’s evolution blending classic country roots with modern storytelling.
At the heart of her upcoming Grit & Glamour EP is Paper Town, a song that speaks to the fragility of industry and community. Inspired by true events, Paper Town tells the story of a once-thriving mill town that lost its lifeblood when the industry collapsed. Co-written and performed with Winnipeg’s Scott Nolan.“It’s about more than just a job, it’s about identity, purpose, and the generations of families who built their lives around something that was suddenly gone,” says Vezina.
The Manitoba Arts Council and Manitoba Film & Music have recognized the cultural significance of Paper Town, backing the project and ensuring that this important story reaches audiences far and wide.
